Neighbours are Real

Neighbours are Real was an open invitation for pensioners of the town of Alvesta, Sweden to be part of a pop-up exhibition at an abandoned store. It aimed to create a space were local people could renew their sense of identity through awareness of the others as well as acknowledge great lives being lived simultaneously.

This project had an initial research phase revealed that Alvesta, from the perspective of human needs, effectively fulfills the physiological and security needs but it doesn’t create a sense of belonging in its citizens.
